Kadus Group operates in the specialized space between public policy, private development economics, and delivery strategy. We are retained when a decision carries real consequence and the client requires advice that is independent, technically grounded, and informed by direct experience of how projects are actually financed, approved, procured, and delivered.

We bring structure and objectivity to problems that are often complex, politically sensitive, or commercially material — and we present our findings in a manner that supports defensible decision-making by boards, councils, investment committees, and senior leadership.

Clients engage us across three principal areas of practice.

1 Strategy & Decision-making

We advise owners and institutions evaluating significant real estate decisions — acquisitions, dispositions, partnerships, redevelopment, and capital deployment. Our work tests strategic intent against market reality and identifies the conditions under which value can be realized. Engagements typically include investment and market analysis, highest and best use evaluation, development structuring and governance design, portfolio strategy across hold-reposition-redevelop-exit alternatives, and value-realization strategies including timing, structure, and counterparty considerations.

2 Independent Reviews & Diligence

Sophisticated owners increasingly require independent expertise to test civic, institutional, or commercial objectives against real-world feasibility. We provide third-party reviews on behalf of boards, lenders, investment committees, and public-sector clients where assurance is required that assumptions, risks, and delivery pathways have been properly understood. Our work in this area includes development and acquisition due diligence, project audits, cost and schedule risk assessments, contract and procurement review, and governance reviews for organizations stewarding public, donor, or institutional capital.

3 Crisis Support & Project Recovery

When a project encounters serious difficulty — cost escalation, schedule failure, regulatory blockage, partnership breakdown, or loss of confidence — the priority is to obtain an honest read on the situation and act decisively to recover position. Kadus provides senior leadership during these periods, working alongside the client to diagnose root causes, restore credibility with stakeholders and capital, and stabilize delivery. Engagements range from focused interventions on specific issues to interim development leadership through to recovery.

Working with us

We are frequently retained by private-sector, public agencies and institutional clients where independence and discretion are essential. We enter assignments without a predetermined outcome and provide impartial, experience-based guidance grounded in how markets behave, how capital interprets risk, and how projects are delivered.
