Andrew Thomson
Andrew has been serving clients for over 35 years. He founded True North Group in 2001, the predecessor firm to Kadus Group, and provides a full range of advisory services to clients coast-to-coast in real estate development, asset management and project management.
At Kadus Group, Andrew leverages his leadership skills, deep industry expertise, and commitment to sustainable development to align with the objectives of the Building a Better Tomorrow Real Estate Impact Fund. His approach minimizes risk while optimizing returns by integrating best practices, fostering effective partnerships, and prioritizing projects that deliver meaningful social and environmental impact.
Professional Bio
Andrew has over 35 years of experience serving investors, developers, and tenants across the real estate sector. Following a successful career with several large development organizations, he founded True North Group Inc. in 2001. Based in Toronto, True North Group delivered a full suite of real estate advisory services to clients across Canada and internationally for 23 years, spanning real estate development, asset management, and construction project management.

Throughout his career, Andrew has advised a wide range of prominent clients, including the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), CT REIT, Sienna Senior Living, Barnhart Asset Management, Ronald McDonald House Toronto, Home Depot Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Loblaw Properties.

Andrew first met Justin in 2013 when he hired him as a technical advisor to support True North Group on several assignments with CPPIB. That collaboration ultimately led to the formation of Kadus Group, where Andrew now serves as a Senior Partner. In this role, he advises clients on high-profile and complex projects while also playing a key role in stewarding and guiding the business.

Andrew was retained by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to provide investment advisory services on new development pursuits across North America.
Home Depot
Home Depot set an ambitious goal to build a business platform that began with no Canadian locations to approximately 180 stores, and they were able to do this with extensive support from True North Group to lead and manage many projects.
Sienna Senior Living
Complete renovation and construction of an addition to the award winning Bloomington Cove Community Care long-term care facility in Whitchurch-Stouffville Ont.
