YZD @Downsview
Toronto
In the heart of Toronto, the largest urban redevelopment in North America is underway. Called YZD, the call-sign of the former Downsview Airport, its 370 acres will become seven vibrant neighbourhoods, featuring homes, parks, shops, schools and workplaces. YZD will redefine what it means to live in a city that prioritizes quality of life.
Over the coming decades, these largely undeveloped lands will be transformed into a series of vibrant neighbourhoods, with a mix of housing options, new jobs in growing industries, opportunities for new business, access to parks, community facilities and services. A new network of roads, pedestrian and cycling connections will now be possible. Creating walkable, transit-connected, vibrant and welcoming communities. All centrally linked by a 2km pedestrian street, the reimagined former runway.
Kadus Group was engaged by Northcrest Developments (a subsidiary of PSP Investments) to provide advisory services on several districts of the project.
